Rice Boy Studio is a multi-disciplinary design studio that crafts lifestyle objects to inspire the senses and encourage mindful living.
In our Taipei-based studio, our artists transitioned from architectural training to culinary exploration, crafting architecture for food and decor for space. we do small-batch, hand-made homeware, each piece infuses a multi-facet character, capturing the essence of a generation that are attuned to authenticity, cultural heritage, and honest aesthetics.
Deeply moved by the dramatic Formosan landscape, we draw inspiration from the natural elements of it’s material, texture, color palette and rhythm.
We have the most fun when our work melds the enigmatic allure of megalithic culture, the hand-made spirit of the indigenous heritage, the mindful aesthetics of Japanese wabi-sabi, and the warm simplicity of Nordic minimalism.
